Acoustical ceiling tiles or panels lay in a suspended ceiling grid and are used to improve or control the acoustics. These drop ceilings are designed to absorb, block and diffuse sound.

They are also used for these purposes: Keep outside noise out of the room, keep the noise created in the room from being heard outside of the room, or simply to improve the quality of sound in the room.

The last purpose is deemed the most important when the tiles are used in recording/sound studios and home theaters.

Many acoustic or acoustical ceiling tiles can be installed in drop/suspended ceiling grids.

Suspended ceilings were originally developed as an inexpensive way to hide the wiring, plumbing, or ductwork, or to allow those features to be easily maintained.

But it quickly became clear that acoustic ceiling tiles can be used to add acoustic control to the room.

Technical parameter:

 

Attaching the suspension system to the structure (eg. concrete soffit):

Ensure that the structure is solid and has a load-bearing capacity of at least 10 kg.

When fixing a concrete structure, drill a hole 30 mm deep with a 6 mm diameter

drill bit. Protect the M6 thread on the top fixing dowel before tapping it into the

drilled hole. Before proceeding with the installation, check that the dowel has

expanded properly. At this stage, only the thread should be visible.

Attach the wire to the fixing points. Slide the wire into the hook, the system locks

automatically. Raise the baffle and affix the hook to the spiral anchors on both

fixing points. Attach the hooks to all of the spiral anchors. Ensure all hooks are

attached before raising the baffle to the required height

Screw ceiling anchor for conventional ceilings.
For plasterboard and similar conventional ceilings which will accept a plug and screw fixing,the two-part ceiling anchor is screwed to the ceiling capturing the supplied 1m or 2m length of wire.
 
2. Suspension hooks self locking
 
Suspension hooks with self locking facility a ideal for rapid.
 
Installation and levelling up on site.
Slide the hook up a support wire (1.5mm dia) and it locks fast wherever it is placed.
To lower simply depress the quick release button as shown on the image. The clutch mechanism is released until the suspended item is at exactly the right height. Excess wire can then be snipped off.It is much easier to level up acoustic panels, light fittings and ceiling hung building services when the adjustment can be performed at the suspension point rather than at the ceiling.
 
The safe Hook has a spring catch across the mouth of the hook to prevent accidental detachment.
 
3. Suspension fitting for rockwool acoustic panels
 
This is a Spiral corkscrew type panel hanger for acoustic panels - type panels ,
Economic alternative to panel fixings.
 
Spiral anchors provide a convenient suspension point for certain types of acoustic,ceiling panels made from rockwool which will accept a screw-in corkscrew type fitment.
Acoustic ceiling installers fitting suspended acoustic panels often search for lower,cost installation components.

 

The spiral anchor and our associated fittings have proved a successful alternative to the manufacturers' own branded components offering significant savings.
 
Spiral anchor suspension fittings can be used in conjunction with our ceiling fixings,suspension cables and adjustable suspension hooks to create a low cost solution.
